High Cross Car Park. Leicester.

A 90,000m2 multi-storey car park in Leicester city centre.

Working for Vinci Construction, Metropolitan Formwork constructed a brand new, multi-storey car park in central Leicester. High Cross Car Park is a 90,000m2, 2,000 space facility spread over nine storeys. We completed the build on target in 40 weeks.

Scope of works included:

  • Exposed concrete finish
  • 9 storeys
  • A mixture of post-tensioned and traditional reinforced concrete
  • In-situ concrete cores, walls and columns
  • Ischebeck Titan and Doka formwork/falsework
  • Combisafe safety net fans – installed to protrude out of the building three metres protecting the public below
